Guard Jäger Battalion (Prussia)

The Guard Jäger Battalion was a New Prussian Jäger battalion, which stood in the tradition of the old Prussian Jäger Corps and was set up in Prussia in 1744 by Friedrich II.

In 1808 it became the Jäger Battalion No. 1, which was named Guard Jäger Battalion. It subsequently belonged to the Guard Corps of the Royal Prussian Army until 1918.

The Waffenrock is a dark-green doe-skin wool with collar and cuffs in red wool with golden yellow litzen.

All original buttons, insignia and stitching.

The shoulder pieces are made of red fabric. The fastening buttons with embossed 1 for 1st company.

A rifle’s cord on the uniform jacket.

Probably the owner’s signature on the lining sleeve.
