Description
Hydrierwerke Pölitz AG synthetic fuel plant – Two lodging-card from 1944-1945 .This facility also used forced-laborers and prisoners from the KL Stutthof. Being an important war production facility, it was therefore a target for allied bombings.

In 1937, IG Farben, Rhenania-Ossag, and Deutsch-Amerikanische Petroleum Gesellschaft founded the Hydrierwerke Pölitz AG synthetic fuel plant. By 1943, the plant produced 15% of Nazi Germany’s synthetic fuels
