Description
Relic token ground dug in Beuthengrube mine area that beloged to a bike guard who checked the mine area on a bicycle. It says "Fahrradwache – Beuthengrube" that means "Surveilance in bicycle in Beuthengrube". When Upper Silesia was divided up in 1922, the mine’s two production shafts were on the Polish side, but the aforementioned weather shaft was on the German side. That is why the German side decided to make this shaft the basis of an independent mine. The construction of this new, modern shaft system took place between 1923 and 1928; the associated mine was named Beuthengrube and started mining in 1928. The "Glückauf-Schacht" was the production shaft with double production and a depth of 300 m. In WW2 a lot of forced laborers worked there.
