Valkyrie - Winter Auction 2021
Wanted poster – of June 11, 1918. Issued by the Chief of Police in Warsaw. The announcement informs about the finding of the corpse of a raped and dismembered 15-year-old girl. A prize of 1,000 marks was set for identifying the perpetrator. The announcement is in Polish and German. Dimensions 59 x 40 cm. The poster was printed during World War I in the Polish territories occupied by the Germans, hence the content of the announcement in two languages.
