Soviet Union Order "For Service To The Homeland In The Armed Forces of the USSR". 3rd class. Creation date 28 October 1974. This order was awarded for exemplary service in the armed forces, both during a war and during peacetime. A recipient was first awarded a 3rd class order, then if further deeds were made, the second and the first class. Like the civilian Order Of Labour Glory upon which it is modeled, it gave a certain number of material benefits to their owners.
